Buyer - Roadshows & Pop-Up Shops (Retail)

Location: Sam's Home Office, Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 annual salary, plus performance-based bonuses and potential regional pay zone compensation.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional buying teams and align workloads with strategic timelines.
• Review purchase plans and business reports, resolve merchandising issues, and optimize product availability and demand.
• Develop and manage category budgets, financial targets, and projections with planning teams.
• Build supplier relationships, negotiate cost, quality, and delivery terms, and resolve replenishment issues.
• Create merchandising strategies, modular plans, and product assortments for roadshows and pop-up shops.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop associates while driving business plan execution and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field plus 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of relevant experience without the degree.
• Experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or a related area.
• Strong analytical, financial planning, supplier management, and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, business plans, and strategic timelines.
• Ability to train, mentor, and manage associate performance.
• Commitment to ethical standards, integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement.
