Associate Buyer, Footwear (Retail)

Location: HQ - Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York; 100% on-site

Salary: $65,000–$80,000 annually

What you will do

• Support the Buyer with 25+ vendor accounts across the US, Canada, EU, and UK.
• Prepare buy reviews, maintain buy sheets and order forms, and complete ERP uploads.
• Track inbound product, reconcile purchase orders, and coordinate website and product setup.
• Analyze sales, inventory trends, and product performance to support buying decisions and order book adjustments.
• Communicate with vendors on launch strategy, seasonal collections, and release timing.
• Coordinate product launches and reporting across warehouse, photography, web, retail, operations, and marketing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–3 years of experience, including internships, in retail, buying, planning, merchandising, or store operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Knowledge of G-Suite and an understanding of the wholesale buying process and product lifecycle.
• Strong vendor communication, organization, dataset management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Interest in the footwear and fashion industry, with a data-driven and detail-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• At least one year of experience as an Assistant Buyer or in a similar role.
• Exposure to AI tools for data organization or analysis.
• Leadership mindset and interest in developing into a Buyer role.
