Speech-Language Pathologist II - Outpatient (Flexible Schedule, M-F 32-40 hours) - Sign On Bonus Eligible

Location: Tufts Medical Center, United States; onsite clinical work with frequent patient standing, walking, and transfers. Flexible Monday–Friday schedule of 32–40 hours with 8–10-hour shifts; occasional holiday and weekend on-call coverage may be required.

Salary: $83,200.00–$98,614.15 per year. Eligible candidates may receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus with 1+ years of experience.

What you will do

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, swallowing, cognitive, and communication disorders across patients from infancy through adulthood.
• Provide adult outpatient services and acute inpatient coverage, including swallowing, speech, cognition, and language therapy.
• Develop therapy plans, rehabilitation goals, home training programs, and hydration, nutrition, and medication-safety plans.
• Perform and interpret FEES and MBS instrumental swallowing evaluations.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and staff, and collaborate with Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Residents, and Pulmonary on tracheostomy care.
• Complete evaluation reports, progress notes, reassessments, discharge summaries, insurance documentation, and other medical-record requirements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association.
• Massachusetts state Speech Therapist License required.
• Basic Life Support certification and at least one year of Speech Therapist experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English, work independently, and provide care in a multidisciplinary clinical setting.
• Ability to assess and treat patients with a wide range of speech, language, cognitive, communicative, and swallowing disorders.

Nice to have

• Acute care experience.
• Experience with MBS and FEES.
