Acquisition Management (Missile Warning)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Support the Material Leader with acquisition planning for the Missile Warning mission area.
• Work with a multidisciplinary DoD technical workforce and defense hardware contractors.
• Evaluate acquisition strategies, systems engineering plans, Integrated Master Plans, and Contract Data Requirements Lists.
• Conduct market research and provide acquisition strategy recommendations.
• Advise on the organization and establishment of Integrated Product Teams.
• Analyze program progress and schedules for compliance with DoD and Air Force policies and guidance.

Requirements

• At least 15 equivalent years of experience in acquisition management and planning within government, an FFRDC, or a government support/development contractor environment.
• Master’s degree in management, business, economics, finance, accounting, mathematics, engineering, technology, or operations research; a bachelor’s degree is also required.
• Knowledge of quantitative techniques for data analysis, modeling, interpretation, and briefings to senior-level DoD leadership.
• Knowledge of DoD budgetary principles and procedures and acquisition regulations for Major Defense Acquisition Programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently on time-sensitive, high-visibility tasks.
• US citizenship and an active DoD Secret Clearance are required.
