Technical Task Lead (DoD SATCOM Software Systems)

Location: Onsite in El Segundo, California, United States. Standard work hours; no travel.

Salary: $135,600–$161,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead capability discovery and product scoping for SATCOM management and monitoring systems.
• Define capability needs, functional requirements, vendor allocations, and technical feasibility assessments.
• Manage multiple concurrent software products across prime and subcontractor Agile teams.
• Coordinate platform, systems engineering, cybersecurity, architecture, and software integration activities.
• Oversee backlogs, sprint execution, product increment reviews, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issue resolution.
• Engage DoD operators, planners, and leadership through technical communication, integrated demos, and feedback loops.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of technical management, product management, or systems engineering experience in a DoD environment.
• Proven success managing software development programs across multiple contractors or vendor teams.
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, including Scrum or SAFe, and the DoD Software Acquisition Pathway.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must currently possess or be able to obtain and maintain an in-scope Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Familiarity with MILSATCOM, COMSATCOM, EMI concepts, and RF spectrum management.
• Experience with EMI detection and geolocation tools, SATCOM dashboards, or real-time operational monitoring platforms.
• Knowledge of software testing, KPIs, data analytics, DevSecOps, architecture compliance, and cybersecurity integration.
• PMP, INCOSE CSEP, or ESEP certification.
