Senior Consultant - Legal Solutions

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States

Annual base salary: $75,500–$124,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Manage a varied portfolio covering regulatory research, compliance workflows, regulated processes, and contract review.
• Advise business units and clients on internal business policies as a subject matter expert.
• Lead projects by coordinating resources, setting timelines, and managing workflows using Agile methodology.
• Develop risk-aware, cost-effective procedures and identify opportunities to streamline practices and reduce costs.
• Monitor team work for compliance with internal policies, provide training, and support the development of colleagues.
• Conduct complex legal research and present findings to attorneys and compliance professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate.
• At least seven years of legal professional or related industry experience; an associate’s degree or five years of paralegal, compliance, or related experience is the minimum requirement.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, critical thinking, leadership, coaching, and training skills.
• Experience navigating Microsoft Suite, iManage, CounselLink, Westlaw, and Oden.
• Ability to identify legal issues in documents, contracts, business meetings, and research.
• Ability to collaborate with Legal, Underwriting, Risk Control, Service Centers, and Distribution teams.
