Location: On-site at least four days per week at the Center in Maplewood, Minnesota, United States. Travel may include up to 35% domestic and international travel. Relocation may be authorized. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
Expected annual compensation: $164,612–$201,193, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do
- Identify and assess material handling and warehouse automation opportunities across manufacturing sites and distribution centers.
- Analyze material flow, capacity, labor utilization, throughput, and warehouse performance to develop improvement opportunities and business cases.
- Design scalable automation solutions using AGVs, AMRs, AS/RS, conveyors, sortation systems, robotic material handling, and palletizing equipment.
- Define technical requirements and implementation plans with site operations, engineering, maintenance, quality, supply chain, IT/OT, and suppliers.
- Lead projects from concept through equipment integration, installation, testing, commissioning, startup, validation, and sustainment.
- Establish standards, documentation, training, and performance metrics for repeatable multi-site deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering.
- At least five years of experience in material handling, warehouse automation, intralogistics, or industrial/manufacturing engineering.
- At least five years of experience improving material flow, capacity, labor utilization, throughput, and warehouse performance using industrial engineering and Lean methods.
- At least five years of experience working with suppliers, system integrators, site teams, and cross-functional partners to deliver technical solutions.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship is required.
- Ability to work on-site at the Maplewood facility at least four days per week and travel up to 35%.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience designing, integrating, commissioning, or troubleshooting intralogistics automation systems.
- Experience with material-flow or discrete-event simulation, digital manufacturing, or optimization tools.
- Experience integrating automation with WMS/WES, MES, ERP, fleet management, controls, and related IT/OT systems.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification and experience mentoring engineers or developing automation standards.
