Actuarial Analyst

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota; at least four days per week in the office and up to one day working from home.

Base salary: $66,700–$91,700 per year, with potential variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Modify, maintain, operate, and document actuarial models built in spreadsheets and analytical software.
• Evaluate actuarial assumptions using data analysis and predictive analytics under the direction of a qualified Actuary.
• Prepare reports, summarize findings, and communicate results to leaders and other business areas.
• Participate in defined-scope actuarial projects, including analysis of actuarial topics and testing project implementations.
• Support business control operations and validate the logical consistency of process inputs and outputs.
• Collect evidence supporting process effectiveness and communicate task status and impediments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• At least one actuarial examination passed.
• Experience with actuarial models, data analysis, predictive analytics, and logical validation.
• Applicants must already have valid US work authorization and must not require current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Validation by Educational Experience coursework completion.
• Actuarial internship experience.
• Experience with MS Excel, VBA, MS Access, or other database applications.
