Senior Manager - Estimating (Power & Utility Construction)

Location: Neenah, Wisconsin, United States; primarily office-based with occasional field visits and approximately 25% travel required.

What you will do

• Lead regional estimating operations and oversee major estimates for transmission, substations, renewable energy, and industrial projects.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of estimators and support succession planning.
• Assign bids according to team strengths, development goals, and business priorities.
• Partner with Regional Managers, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to align estimates with project execution.
• Guide teams in interpreting plans, specifications, risks, and constructability considerations.
• Drive standardized estimating practices, continuous improvement, accountability, and effective project handoffs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in construction, estimating, or preconstruction leadership.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams, developing talent, and improving organizational performance.
• Strong negotiation and contract review experience.
• Excellent communication, leadership, decision-making, and collaboration skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice to have

• Experience in utility or power infrastructure, including transmission, distribution, or substations.
• Estimating leadership experience in EPC, heavy civil, or industrial environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
• Project Management experience or cross-functional leadership exposure.
