Provider Electronic Data Specialist I (EDI)

Location: Work from home within Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah, United States

Salary: $24.40–$32.40 per hour expected hiring range; full range $24.40–$42.20 per hour, with a 5% bonus target.

What you will do

• Handle and resolve provider inquiries related to EFT enrollment.
• Perform EFT validation calls and process enrollment updates in Availity Essentials.
• Research and resolve provider portal and Availity escalation issues with business and product owners.
• Document customer-reported issues through Remedy, escalation tickets, and Availity Client Service tickets.
• Maintain EFT documentation, reporting, shared inboxes, and enrollment processes.
• Provide internal and external customer support and perform EFT testing when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of experience in provider customer service, a technical help desk environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of technical tools, PC hardware, desktop operating systems, software functionality, and systems across computer and network platforms.
• Conceptual understanding of EDI technology in healthcare transactions, including ANSI format knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to change, and make timely decisions under pressure.
• Employees working from home must have wired internet, minimum 5 Mb upload and 10 Mb download speeds, and a personal mobile device for MFA.
