State and Local Tax - Income Franchise Intern - Summer 2027

Location: Chicago, with travel to assigned client locations required

Compensation: $34–$40 per hour

What you will do

• Collaborate with teams across tax specialty areas, including corporate taxation, income tax accounting, federal credits and incentives, mergers and acquisitions, and pass-through entity taxation.
• Complete tax planning and research.
• Prepare federal and state and local tax returns.
• Interpret tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.

Requirements

• Complete at least 90 credit hours.
• Work toward a B.A., B.S., or equivalent degree at an accredited university.
• Major in accounting.
• Travel to assigned client locations and access to reliable transportation are required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, computer, teamwork, and multitasking skills.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
