Summer 2027 Intern - Financial Operations - Accounting

Location: Hybrid work from home and 2–3 days per week in the office at one of the following hubs: Bloomington, Illinois; Dunwoody, Georgia; Richardson, Texas; or Tempe, Arizona. Relocation benefits do not apply.

Pay: $28.00 per hour, plus a $2,000 internship stipend.

What you will do

• Research and analyze financial information to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, reports, budgets, and cash flow information.
• Review financial, operational, risk management, and compliance control systems through audit assignments.
• Interpret external reporting requirements and accounting guidance, including statutory accounting concepts.
• Identify process enhancements and conduct tax, cost-benefit, competitor, and industry trend analyses.
• Present financial insights and recommendations to leadership while collaborating across accounting and auditing teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 3.5 GPA out of 4.0 overall and in the major.
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting.
• Must remain enrolled in at least one course through completion of the internship.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including advanced formulas and automation techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Learning agility, adaptability, initiative, and curiosity.
