Network Operations Engineer (Cisco Wireless)

Location: Monterrey, Mexico; onsite

What you will do

• Design, implement, support, and maintain Cisco wireless network infrastructure.
• Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches, access points, and network management software.
• Provide global troubleshooting, routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and performance support for networks across more than 120 locations.
• Implement wireless network security protocols and protect systems from unauthorized access and threats.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, optimize network efficiency, and advise business leadership on wireless technology direction.
• Create network configuration, troubleshooting, and performance documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting wireless platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco technologies.
• Fully bilingual communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Monterrey, Mexico.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Cisco SDWAN.
• CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification.
• Experience with site surveys, RF analysis, Bluetooth, Zigbee, or other emerging wireless technologies.
• Experience developing custom wireless applications or mentoring team members.
