Aerospace Systems Engineer – Modeling & Analysis

Salary: $110,000–$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and execute tests for threat missile models and simulations.
• Analyze test data, identify issues, and verify and validate models.
• Investigate anomalies and perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Conduct research into new engineering concepts and derive real-world conclusions from limited information.
• Reduce and visualize raw data into formats suitable for subject-matter-expert review.
• Coordinate between analysts, subject-matter experts, engineers, and scientists while accounting for data-transfer and computing-facility constraints.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• An active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI are required.
• Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• At least six years of engineering experience; reduced experience requirements apply with an MS or PhD.
• Experience in computer science and/or software engineering.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, communication, and independent problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance and an MS or PhD with research or laboratory experience.
• Experience with RF and IR seekers.
• Proficiency with Matlab and/or Python.
• Familiarity with all-source intelligence data and DoD high-performance computing systems.
• Experience developing or running Acquisition Threat Engineering Packages.
