Cloud Engineer (AWS & Multi-Cloud)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; hybrid working with regular office attendance required

What you will do

• Provide second- and third-level support for AWS workloads and support Azure and other cloud platforms as they enter the multi-cloud estate.
• Operate application VMs and containerised workloads, including EKS, covering patching, backups, monitoring, networking, identity, and routine operations.
• Build support models for newly onboarded services, including runbooks, monitoring, alerting, operational controls, and handover criteria.
• Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, participate in post-incident reviews, and drive service improvements.
• Maintain and extend Terraform infrastructure as code and automate operational tasks with Python, Bash, PowerShell, AI, and automation tooling.
• Work with architecture, project, application, security, compliance, and infrastructure teams on cloud migrations, production readiness, security controls, resilience, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Strong AWS infrastructure support experience in a large enterprise environment, including troubleshooting, patching, and day-to-day cloud operations.
• Hands-on experience supporting Windows and Linux servers, both cloud-hosted and on-premises, and migrating traditional on-premises services to the cloud.
• Terraform experience is required, including maintaining and extending existing infrastructure as code.
• Production containerisation experience, including EKS or an equivalent managed Kubernetes service.
• Experience with cloud security, identity and access management, vulnerability remediation, backup and data protection, monitoring and logging, and cloud cost optimisation.
• Good written and spoken English is required, along with willingness to participate in an on-call rota and support international time-zone coverage.

Nice to have

• Azure, Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure experience.
• Cloud virtual desktop experience and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Git.
• Agile, DevSecOps, AWS, Azure, OCI, ITIL, or similar service management certifications and experience.
