Lead R&D Software Engineer (Embedded Systems)

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, modular, optimized test automation architectures for embedded systems in industrial cooling and power distribution.
• Define automation standards, reusable test components, framework patterns, and engineering guidelines.
• Lead the end-to-end design of automated integration, system, regression, and environmental test suites.
• Define and monitor quality KPIs covering defect detection efficiency, automation execution coverage, protocol timing and throughput, and framework reliability.
• Optimize test execution time, reliability, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Drive the automation roadmap, make complex test strategy decisions, and mentor the team.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in embedded software testing with hands-on test automation.
• Advanced Python scripting and framework development experience, with strong expertise in Robot Framework and Selenium for web UI automation.
• Deep understanding of BSPs, bootloaders, kernel-level behavior, low-level firmware and driver interactions, and embedded protocols such as Modbus, CAN, and RS485.
• Experience with hardware tools and debugging instruments, plus a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to define technical strategy, develop an automation engineering vision, mentor engineers, and collaborate across functions.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field.

Nice to have

• ISTQB certification.
• Working knowledge of C/C++ for firmware comprehension.
