Sr. R&D Software Engineer (Embedded)

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, modular, and optimized test automation architectures for embedded systems in industrial cooling and power distribution.
• Define automation standards, reusable test components, framework patterns, and engineering guidelines.
• Lead the end-to-end design of automated test suites.
• Ensure test coverage across integration, system, regression, and environmental testing.
• Define and monitor quality KPIs covering defect detection, execution coverage, protocol timing and throughput, and framework reliability.
• Optimize test execution time, reliability, and CI/CD pipeline integration.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in embedded software testing with hands-on test automation.
• Strong experience with Python for framework development, Robot Framework, and Selenium for web UI automation.
• Deep understanding of BSPs, bootloaders, kernel-level behavior, and low-level firmware and driver interactions.
• Experience with embedded protocols including Modbus, CAN, and RS485, as well as hardware tools and debugging instruments.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and the ability to drive technical strategy and automation engineering vision.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• ISTQB certification.
• Working knowledge of C and C++ for firmware comprehension.
