Sr. / Staff / Sr. Staff Firmware Validation Engineer (NAND Flash)

Salary: $110,000–$175,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and execute automated test suites for enterprise SSD firmware, industry specifications, and internal firmware algorithms.
• Validate hardware readiness for customer qualification cycles as a principal contributor within the eSSD core development group.
• Develop comprehensive test methodologies using internal and external simulation tools.
• Extract requirements from firmware engineers and build high-coverage white-box validation suites.
• Create scalable test cases for new firmware capabilities.
• Own regression execution, failure triage, and failure analytics for engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

• Thorough test-failure analysis and problem reproduction skills.
• Programming experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
• Good understanding of AI development tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Fast learning ability, strong communication skills, proactive behavior, and effective teamwork.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of storage firmware test development experience, including design, development, and validation.
• Solid understanding of PCIe and NVMe storage protocols and specifications.
• Experience with AI tool development.
