Storage Product Owner, Expert

Location: Hybrid role based in Oakland, California, with 1–2 days per week at the Oakland Headquarters; assigned work location must be within the PG&E Service Territory.

Salary: $132,000–$226,000 per year, with an expected range around $132,000–$179,000, plus eligibility for discretionary incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead Scrum teams as Product Owner and align business priorities, product strategy, and delivery execution.
• Translate product strategy into requirements, roadmaps, implementation plans, and a prioritized backlog.
• Plan releases, set delivery expectations, and coordinate with business, engineering, operations, cybersecurity, vendors, and product stakeholders.
• Evaluate emerging storage technologies and introduce new storage capabilities across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Lead storage asset management, manage contracts and licenses, and reduce storage technical debt.
• Define, measure, track, and report KPIs for storage, data protection, and ransomware platforms.

Requirements

• At least five years of job-related experience as a Product Owner.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Agile software development principles and practices.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, lead behavioral change, and communicate with executive, business, functional, and technical audiences.
• Experience with storage technologies such as PowerMax, Unity, Isilon, PowerVault, IBM Flash, AWS S2, and switches.
• Experience with data protection technologies such as Data Domain and PPDM, plus ransomware technologies.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Five years of Product Owner experience in an Agile environment.
• Product Owner, Scrum Master, or other Agile certification.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or equivalent cloud certification.
• Experience with BPD planning or related business planning processes.
