TL;DR

What you will do

  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform detailed safety inspections, site audits, job hazard analyses, and risk assessments.
  • Deliver HSE training and coordinate emergency response and preparedness activities.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and create preventive measures through root cause analysis.
  • Maintain and analyze HSE metrics and data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with federal, state, local, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and industry-specific requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of related experience; 6 years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local HSE regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and NFPA standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct job hazard analyses, site audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
  • Strong communication, leadership, independent work, prioritization, data analysis, spreadsheet, and presentation skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations.
  • Ability to walk, climb, stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs regularly, work in varied environments, and travel as required.

Nice to have

  • ASP, GSP, or OHST certification.
  • Advanced HSE management systems knowledge and ISO 45001 implementation or maintenance experience.
  • Expertise or certification in radiation safety, laser safety, fall protection, lockout/tagout, electrical safety, hazardous material transportation, lithium-ion battery safety, or related programs.
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • DCMA INST 8210 experience or an aerospace and defense industry background.
