Material Specialist - 1st Shift (M-F)

Location: Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, United States; regular in-person and on-site attendance required

JLG, an Oshkosh company, develops access equipment and related solutions for the construction and access industry, including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles, and accessories.

What you will do

• Support material planning, receiving, stocking, delivery, and shipment for internal and external customers.
• Maintain accurate inventory through precise data entry and monitor stock levels.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and system issues.
• Identify and correct receiving problems.
• Support engineering changes through material allocation and inventory adjustments.
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory stock location management, and bin consumption tracking.

Requirements

• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Reliable in-person and on-site attendance is required.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment with noise, dust, machinery, and temperature fluctuations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, and climbing; lifting up to 35 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds may be required.

Nice to have

• Six months to two years of general office experience.
• Strong phone, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Business acumen.
• Ability to pass the internal powered industrial equipment license test and operate stand-up and sit-down equipment.
