Material Specialist I

Location: Kansas City, Missouri, United States; regular in-person and on-site attendance required

JLG, an hirify.global company, develops and supplies access equipment, including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles, and accessories.

What you will do

• Support material planning, receiving, stocking, delivery, and shipment for internal and external customers.
• Maintain accurate inventory through precise data entry, stock-level monitoring, cycle counts, and inventory location management.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and system issues.
• Identify and correct receiving problems and support material-flow improvements.
• Support engineering changes through material allocation and inventory adjustments.
• Collaborate with customers and operate material-handling equipment as required.

Requirements

• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Regular, reliable in-person attendance at the Kansas City, Missouri facility.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, according to business and production needs.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or production environment with noise, dust, machinery, and temperature fluctuations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, and climbing as required.

Nice to have

• Six months to two years of general office experience.
• Strong phone, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Sound business acumen.
• Ability to pass the internal Powered Industrial Equipment license test and operate stand-up and sit-down equipment.
