E&C Technician (South TX)

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, install, repair, and operate mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment.
• Diagnose PLC input/output cards, connect to Allen Bradley PLCs, and work with Wonderware and Allen Bradley HMIs.
• Troubleshoot transmitters, relays, starters, RTDs, thermocouples, control valves, and gas-actuated valves using Fluke meters, process calibrators, meggers, IR guns, and HART communicators.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MCCs, switchgear, VFD drives, UPS systems, compressors, generators, reboilers, contact towers, and glycol systems.
• Schedule electrical maintenance, update electrical prints, maintain emergency repair inventory, and supervise electrical contractors.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, Automation and Controls technicians, supervisors, and customers.

Requirements

• Applied Associate Degree or AAS in Instrumentation.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience or equivalent knowledge; job level is commensurate with experience.
• Knowledge of compressor stations, gathering systems, processing plant operations, instrumentation, controls, and industrial electrical systems.
• Understanding of Ethernet/IP and Modbus communication protocols and electrical voltages from 24VDC and 120VAC to 13.8 kV AC.
• Valid operating license with an acceptable driving record under company insurance requirements.
• Ability to work outdoors around industrial equipment, climb and work at heights or in confined areas, lift and transport equipment, and work overtime and callout rotations.
