Registered Nurse- Urology

Location: Tufts Medical Center; Massachusetts RN licensure required

Pay range: $34.79–$43.49 per hour

What you will do

• Provide direct professional nursing care to urology patients and their families according to established policies and physician orders.
• Conduct and document accurate clinical assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families, support informed decisions and advance directives, and coordinate discharge plans with appropriate resources and referrals.
• Manage patient assignments and delegate care effectively based on patient needs and team-member skills.
• Apply evidence-based practice and research while participating in performance improvement initiatives.
• Support onboarding and transition of new staff members and pursue ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• Less than 12 months of RN experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to apply the nursing process and communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.
• Ability to lift and turn patients, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform required manual patient-care tasks.
• Ability to work with exposure to infectious diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and possible carcinogenic chemicals.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Department-specific certifications relevant to urology and the patient population.
