Assurance Manager - Retail

Location: San Francisco, United States; willingness to travel 25% of the year depending on client needs.

Salary: $89,800–$170,500 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate audits of financial statements, disclosures, and other client deliverables.
• Assess engagement risks and design, communicate, and monitor audit procedures.
• Manage multiple engagement teams, supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors, and monitor productivity and adherence to work plans.
• Review work products, provide performance feedback, coach staff, and support professional development and industry training.
• Build and maintain client relationships, address concerns, identify performance improvement opportunities, and support business growth.
• Manage project profitability and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Senior Managers and Partners.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Accounting or an equivalent degree.
• CPA or CA certification.
• 5+ years of current or recent experience in public accounting.
• At least 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff across multiple engagements.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, FASB, or IFRS regulations and audit services.

Nice to have

• Experience directing and deploying staff and Senior Associates across multiple simultaneous engagements.
