Location: Montgomery, Illinois, United States. The position requires approximately 25% travel for jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, and pre-construction meetings.

Expected salary range: $94,000–$129,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Evaluate bid specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
• Attend pre-bid and pre-construction meetings.
• Solicit and evaluate material and subcontractor quotes.
• Prepare complete, accurate, and competitive project bids.
• Work with Project Management teams to follow up on bids and budgets and help close business.
• Support safe, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery of infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or an equivalent four-year degree, plus 3+ years of related heavy civil construction estimating experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software, including HCSS and B2W.
• Negotiation experience.
• Valid driver’s license for the vehicle types driven and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel approximately 25% for project-related meetings and jobsite visits.
