Registered Nurse - Per Diem - Primary Care (Healthcare)

Location: Tufts Medical Center - Corporate Location, United States; onsite patient-care role with irregular hours and significant standing, walking, lifting, and emergency-response duties.

Pay range: $43.01–$70.95 per hour.

What you will do

• Assess patients and families, establish expected outcomes, and develop individualized, age-appropriate care plans.
• Implement evidence-based nursing interventions, treatments, procedures, health education, and medication administration.
• Evaluate patient responses and update care plans based on clinical outcomes.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care, patient and family meetings, reporting rounds, and discharge planning.
• Advocate for patients and families while supporting culturally sensitive, safe, and efficient care.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, regulatory, and performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS may be required depending on the department and care provided.
• Maintain current licensure and comply with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act.
• Apply clinical judgment, pharmacology knowledge, nursing standards, and age-specific care practices.
• Ability to work in physically demanding and unpredictable clinical conditions, including exposure to hazardous materials and transmissible infections.
