What you will do

• Perform magnetic resonance procedures according to American College of Radiology standards, ARRT ethics standards, and department protocols.
• Prepare and position patients, select coils, and apply appropriate examination sequences.
• Operate MRI equipment, computers, EPIC, and PACS while producing images for diagnostic interpretation.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities using the APIE model.
• Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with radiology policy.
• Recognize emergencies, initiate code procedures, provide first aid or CPR, and follow MRI safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Clinical experience in a diagnostic imaging modality, or completion of an approved MRI education program with registry eligibility.
• ARRT certification in radiology, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine and/or appropriate state licensure.
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy licensure is required.
• MRI registry with ARRT is required within 36 months of employment.
• Ability to obtain BLS certification during employment.
