What you will do

• Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes according to physician orders and departmental procedures.
• Perform nuclear medicine scans and laboratory tests to support diagnostic evaluation.
• Monitor patients during procedures, ensure their physical safety and comfort, and report unusual occurrences.
• Advise physicians on the appropriateness of additional or modified studies.
• Maintain procedure logs, isotope records, radiation reports, patient documentation, and film-tracking paperwork.
• Perform daily equipment quality control, report malfunctions, and coordinate preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
• At least three years of experience as a Nuclear Medical Technologist.
• Current ARRT registration as a radiologic technologist.
• Current IV and CPR certifications.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and assist with patients weighing up to 300 pounds.
• Ability to work around patients, blood, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other clinical-environment hazards.
