Senior Process Engineering Technician (Medical Devices)

hirify.global develops and manufactures medical devices and components, including Nitinol components, stents, balloon catheters, delivery systems, biomedical textiles, access kits, and guidewires.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize manufacturing process parameters, tooling, methods, and equipment for catheter and medical device production.
• Collaborate with engineers to meet build-time, cost, yield, and quality targets.
• Train technicians and operators on assembly techniques, inspection methods, and documentation requirements.
• Perform benchtop, functional, and load testing; support design of experiments by collecting and analyzing process data.
• Troubleshoot moderately complex process, equipment, tooling, and method issues and recommend practical improvements.
• Create work instructions, test methods, visual standards, data summaries, bills of materials, and quality management system document changes.

Requirements

• High school diploma, some college, and at least 8 years of directly related experience; an AA or BS is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with catheter manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and methods.
• Knowledge of polymer materials and processes including braiding, adhesive bonding, lamination, die bonding, machining, injection molding, laser welding, and 3D printing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to read engineering drawings and understand inspection requirements.
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and strong attention to process, documentation, and quality details.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; ability to work independently and collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production personnel.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolidWorks and simple fixture, tooling, and manufacturing aid designs.
• Experience with rapid prototyping methods such as FDM or SLA 3D printing.
• AA or BS degree.
