Trade Compliance Manager (Pharmaceuticals)

What you will do

• Manage operational import and export activities in line with trade compliance policies, customs regulations, and trade sanctions controls.
• Own export controls, sanctions compliance, and applicable export permits and licenses.
• Provide trade compliance guidance to stakeholders and act as an escalation point for operational trade activities.
• Monitor and interpret customs and export control regulations, support audits and inspections, and resolve customs issues and delays with authorities and third parties.
• Oversee outsourced brokerage services, customs warehouse activities, and Authorized Economic Operator certification.
• Maintain trade compliance procedures, report transactional performance metrics, and support cross-functional planning and process improvements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with 4 years of Trade Compliance experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of Trade Compliance experience.
• Certification in EU customs-related procedures and strong knowledge of international customs and World Trade Organization regulations.
• Advanced knowledge of global, regional, and European trade compliance laws and regulations, including EU customs legislation and sanctions controls.
• Experience with customs valuation, commodity classification, country-of-origin determination, EU customs procedures, and complex customs matters.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations and GDP requirements, with experience or education in international trade law.
• Must reside in the Netherlands or within commuting distance of hirify.global Breda.
