Supervisor - Trade and Tariff Advisory Services

Location: Chicago, United States; willingness to travel as needed is required.

Compensation Range: $91,200–$172,200 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Advise U.S. and multinational clients on customs, tariff, and trade compliance matters.
• Develop trade strategies supporting business and supply chain objectives, including duty savings and tariff mitigation.
• Assist with CBP inquiries, audits, disclosures, and post-entry adjustments.
• Manage engagement execution, deliverables, timelines, communications, budgets, and project tracking.
• Collaborate with tax, consulting, and technology teams while developing tools, templates, and scalable services.
• Coach junior team members and contribute to client-facing insights, presentations, webinars, and industry forums.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, international trade, supply chain, or a related field.
• At least four years of experience in customs, international trade, or global trade advisory.
• Working knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations and CBP requirements.
• Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as an MA/MS, MBA, JD, or LLM.
• Licensed Customs Broker credential or trade-related certification such as CUSECO.
• Experience with duty recovery, FTAs including USMCA, tariff engineering, or trade compliance programs.
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or global trade management tools.
• Experience in consulting or professional services.
