Trade Compliance Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Stamford, Connecticut, United States; office-based role with approximately 30% travel

What you will do

• Support the implementation and ongoing enforcement of global trade and U.S. federal contract compliance programs.
• Provide operational guidance on export and import compliance, including ITAR, EAR, trade embargoes, anti-boycott rules, classification, licensing, and documentation.
• Plan and conduct internal audits, compliance assessments, monitoring activities, and external reviews.
• Develop, execute, and monitor remediation and corrective action plans.
• Provide guidance on federal contract requirements, including contract clauses, flow-downs, reporting, safeguarding, timekeeping, labor charging, cost allowability, and procurement practices.
• Support government audits and reviews involving bodies such as DCAA and DCMA, as well as acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition integration.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of professional experience in trade compliance and/or federal contract compliance.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of U.S. export control regulations, including ITAR and EAR.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, including classification, jurisdiction, valuation, country of origin, licensing, and global trade documentation.
• Experience with FAR, DFARS, TINA, FCA obligations, modified CAS, and federal contracting compliance.
• Working knowledge of DCSA requirements for cleared facilities, personnel and facility clearances, and NISPOM compliance.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, collaboration, policy-development, training, and Microsoft Office skills.

Nice to have

• Licensed U.S. Customs Broker or equivalent professional trade compliance certification.
