TL;DR
Contracts Manager (Aerospace): Leading contract administration across aerospace and defense programs with an accent on FAR/DFARS compliance, complex negotiations, and regulatory risk management. Focus on overseeing government, commercial, and international contracts, supporting bids and proposals, and coordinating contract execution across Program Management, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, and Business Development.

Location: Austin, TX, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

  • Lead contract administration across multiple aerospace and defense programs and portfolios.
  • Manage resources, workloads, performance goals, and contract management best practices.
  • Oversee U.S. Government, commercial, and international contracts from proposal through closeout.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate prime contracts, NDAs, teaming agreements, modifications, and other contractual documents.
  • Coordinate with Program Management, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, Business Development, and Export Compliance to mitigate risk and support execution.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for contractual issues and maintain documentation for audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Contract Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8–10+ years of progressive contract administration experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting.
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and ITAR regulations.
  • Experience managing and negotiating complex government and commercial contracts.
  • Must meet U.S. Government space technology export requirements and be eligible to obtain required authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Law, or a related discipline.
  • NCMA CPCM, CFCM, or CCCM certification.
  • Experience with international defense contracts and export-controlled programs.
  • Leadership experience coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience with SAP, Costpoint, Unison, or similar ERP or contract management systems; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
