Mold Set-up and Processing Technician (Injection Molding)

Location: Rexdale, Ontario, Canada; onsite role with a flexible 12-hour continental shift schedule

What you will do

• Install injection molding tools and perform mold set-ups, changeovers, machine start-ups, lockouts, and shutdowns.
• Configure machines for production and establish processing parameters for stable and consistent operations.
• Follow first-piece procedures, monitor parts, and conduct random machine audits to ensure product quality and customer requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot injection molding machines and make adjustments to cycle time, weight, and mold-change requirements.
• Provide processing support to the shift supervisor and respond to operator and packer concerns.
• Collaborate with maintenance, tooling, and quality teams while supporting Continuous Improvement, 5S, and STW activities.

Requirements

• Experience or capability in injection molding machine operation, processing, mold set-up, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to monitor product quality and follow first-piece, audit, cycle-time, weight, and mold-change procedures.
• Ability to work safely and use required personal protective and safety equipment.
• Flexibility to work a 12-hour continental shift schedule.
