Director, Product Engineering - UGG Footwear

Location: Goleta, California, United States — hybrid, with office attendance typically required three times per week, Tuesday through Thursday.

Salary: $154,700–$208,800 per year for the Goleta, California location.

What you will do

• Set and execute product engineering strategies aligned with global product development, engineering, supply chain, and brand objectives.
• Lead the integration of US- and Asia-based engineering teams and establish unified global standards for fit, wear, and comfort.
• Build scalable engineering infrastructure, balance capacity and demand, and formalize processes around an entrepreneurial product creation model.
• Own UGG comfort standards and develop comfort toolboxes for footwear creation.
• Lead product analysis covering shoe last specifications, materials, blueprint reviews, pattern revisions, product construction, and technologies.
• Manage global fit and wear testing initiatives, milestone discipline, KPIs, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 15+ years of experience in the footwear industry or in a research, data collection, and results analysis environment.
• 10+ years in a footwear leadership role within a global company.
• Proficiency in footwear product creation, product testing, and biomechanics.
• Proficiency in shoe last making and/or shoe manufacturing.
• Advanced knowledge of footwear product construction and data analytics for quantifiable results.
