Business Insights & Analytics Leadership Development Program (BI&A LDP) Geospatial Intern (GIS)

Location: Hartford, CT or St. Paul, MN; the internship program is based in the United States

Salary: $28.00–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Work on real analytics projects aligned with active business needs.
• Use modern analytical and artificial intelligence tools while evaluating the quality and accuracy of AI-assisted outputs.
• Participate in technical training delivered by current BI&ALDP participants.
• Complete formal performance reviews and receive structured feedback.
• Collaborate with other interns on a capstone presentation addressing business and analytics challenges.
• Participate in leadership exposure opportunities, including the Intern Symposium and community outreach initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing or have obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or Geography is preferred.
• Exposure to ESRI ArcGIS Pro and other GIS mapping software and platforms.
• Comfort using Python.
• Working knowledge of spatial statistics, map projects, and coordinate system variations.
• Understanding of data warehouses and ETL using Python, SQL, and/or Snowflake.

Nice to have

• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or greater.
• Knowledge of data lakes or experience with Databricks.
