Business Insights & Analytics Leadership Development Program (BI&A LDP) Geospatial Intern (GIS)

Location: Hartford, CT; the internship program is based in Hartford, CT and St. Paul, MN. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. now and in the future.

Salary: $28.00–$30.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Complete real project work aligned with active business needs across analytics functions.
• Use modern analytical and artificial intelligence tools while applying critical thinking to evaluate the quality and accuracy of AI-assisted outputs.
• Participate in technical training delivered by full-time BI&ALDP participants and receive formal performance reviews.
• Interact with business leaders through company-wide events, the Intern Symposium, community outreach, and cohort activities.
• Collaborate on a capstone project to develop and present solutions to business and analytics challenges.
• Perform other duties as assigned and may be eligible to interview for a full-time BI&ALDP offer based on performance.

Requirements

• Pursuing or obtained a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Pursuing or obtained a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or Geography.
• Exposure to ESRI ArcGIS Pro and other GIS mapping software and platforms.
• Comfort using Python.
• Experience with spatial statistics, including working knowledge of map projects and coordinate system variations.
• Understanding of data warehouses and ETL with Python, SQL, and/or Snowflake.

Nice to have

• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or greater.
• Knowledge of data lakes and/or experience with Databricks.
