Data Intern (AI)

What you will do

• Collect, clean, transform, analyze, and reconcile structured and unstructured data from multiple business systems.
• Perform exploratory analysis, identify trends and anomalies, and conduct data quality checks.
• Develop and enhance reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI or similar tools.
• Write SQL queries and support data ingestion, transformation, validation, analytics-ready datasets, and data and semantic models.
• Support enterprise data platform initiatives using Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or similar cloud platforms, as well as analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Document data sources, transformations, lineage, metadata, business rules, requirements, findings, and technical materials; participate in testing and validation.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or Business Analytics.
• Ability to break down problems, use data to develop insights, summarize analysis clearly, and communicate findings.
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders, manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and raise issues when needed.
• Willingness to learn unfamiliar systems, technologies, and business processes, including data, cloud, analytics, and AI technologies.
• Attention to data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and traceability.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and data analysis concepts.
• Coursework, academic projects, or practical experience using Python or a similar programming language.
• Follow requirements for data privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, and confidential information handling.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or a similar data visualization platform.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms or data engineering technologies.
• Coursework or project experience involving machine learning, generative AI, or large language models.
• Familiarity with data governance, data privacy, or regulated environments.
• Interest in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or life sciences.
