Fulltime Producer/Writer

Location: Los Angeles, California — 5800 Sunset Blvd; onsite

Salary: $35/hour and up, commensurate with skills and experience.

What you will do

• Produce, write, and edit news content for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Select and prioritize breaking news, talkers, sports, and stories relevant to Southern California.
• Coordinate with segment and entertainment producers on special segments, including pitching and executing ideas.
• Work with associate producers to order creative graphics and with the production team to optimize set, video, graphics, and lighting.
• Collaborate with executive and senior producers, reporters, and the assignment desk to generate content.
• Participate in daily editorial meetings, calls, and planning.

Requirements

• Three years of television producing and newswriting experience, preferably in a medium- to large-market newsroom.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Desktop editing skills with Adobe Premiere.
• Passion for news, including following current events, updating stories, and monitoring social media daily.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work under pressure and exchange feedback.

• Knowledge of ENPS.
