What you will do

  • Conduct and resolve highly sensitive, confidential employee relations investigations in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and provide management reports with recommended corrective actions.
  • Interpret, administer, and negotiate labor contracts and support union grievance meetings and bargaining negotiations.
  • Develop and monitor performance improvement plans while reviewing documentation and compliance processes.
  • Promote the Employee Assistance Program and support return-to-work initiatives for employees and managers.
  • Answer policy questions, review HR policies and union contracts, recommend updates, and help deliver training on employee relations, harassment, workplace violence, and labor laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 4 years of experience in employee relations or a similar role.
  • Experience researching complex HR issues and implementing effective courses of action.
  • Experience supporting audits and surveys and producing complex reports and analyses.
  • Strong labor relations, grievance procedure, performance improvement, conflict resolution, communication, and analytical skills.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or an Employee Relations Investigations Certification is preferred; Workday and Microsoft Office experience are also preferred.
