Infrastructure Engineer (Data Center)

Location: Ashburn, Virginia, United States; onsite work in data center facilities

What you will do

• Develop floor, rack, overhead infrastructure, and fiber and copper connectivity layouts for multiple data center sites.
• Install, maintain, rack, cable, label, and troubleshoot data center IT assets and cabling infrastructure.
• Provide Tier I break/fix support for servers and network equipment.
• Maintain operational equipment inventory in DCIM tools, including Aperture and DC Track.
• Coordinate projects, vendors, reporting, and troubleshooting activities.
• Provide remote leadership and direction through conference bridge environments.

Requirements

• Experience with data center infrastructure, racking, cabling, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of fiber, copper, and power cord inventory management.
• Experience supporting server and network equipment at Tier I or break/fix level.
• Ability to interface with and guide vendors during equipment installation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to maintain labeling in compliance with DCI&S standards.
