Project Engineer II: Digital Thread Architect (Aerospace)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; primarily office or hybrid environment

Salary: $165,010.21–$226,889.04 per year, plus performance-based annual incentive pay.

What you will do

• Design and own the program’s end-to-end digital thread architecture across the product lifecycle.
• Develop the digital engineering integration strategy and define data flows between connected tools.
• Architect integrations between PLM, MBSE/SysML, CAD, simulation, and manufacturing systems, including APIs and middleware.
• Establish requirements-to-design-to-test traceability and support change impact analysis.
• Define data governance, configuration management, data ownership, access control, and audit-ready documentation.
• Act as the technical contact for digital engineering integration with program management, engineering teams, vendors, and government customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Hands-on experience integrating PLM systems such as Teamcenter or Windchill with MBSE/SysML tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler or Rhapsody.
• Experience establishing traceability across requirements, models, design data, manufacturing information, and test results.
• Working knowledge of MBSE and SysML, plus experience with data architecture, APIs, or integration middleware.
• Current or active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• 4–6 years of relevant leadership or project management experience.
• Experience with Teamwork Cloud, Windchill, Cameo Systems Modeler, Jama, or 3DExperience.
• Background in aerospace and defense, regulated programs, digital twins, or the DoD Digital Engineering Strategy.
• INCOSE CSEP or ASEP certification and familiarity with ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 or UAF.
• Experience with estimates, technical proposals, cost and schedule management, baseline definition, and multidisciplinary development teams.
