Flexo and Rotary Operator (Packaging)

Location: Brampton, Ontario, Canada; onsite manufacturing role

Pay: CAD 24.00 per hour

What you will do

• Set up and operate rotary die presses and flexographic printing equipment.
• Review job tickets and production specifications, then determine efficient manufacturing methods.
• Install and maintain ink levels, adjust press settings and registration, and stage stock for roll changes.
• Inspect finished products, troubleshoot quality issues, complete quality paperwork, and recommend improvements.
• Assist with roller, die, equipment maintenance, repair work orders, and workplace cleanliness.
• Provide informal leadership to Flexo Helpers or Second Pressmen and participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of rotary die cutting or manufacturing experience operating and setting up automatic or semi-automatic equipment is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude, good color perception, and knowledge of inks and solvent characteristics.
• Ability to read measuring tapes and calipers accurately and perform calculations involving measurements, percentages, volume, and rates.
• Ability to work various shifts as staffing, schedules, and workload change.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours, frequently bend, lift, walk, push and pull product with a pallet jack, and lift up to 85 pounds.
