Operations Specialist, Level 1-4 (Amarillo, TX)

Location: Onsite in Bushland, Texas; must live within 30 miles of the reporting location. Travel, overtime, and after-hours emergency callouts may be required.

What you will do

• Operate engines, pumps, compressors, turbines, pipelines, process equipment, and auxiliary systems within defined parameters.
• Diagnose, repair, install, service, and maintain mechanical, pipeline, valve, seal, measurement, and corrosion-control equipment.
• Maintain facilities, pipeline rights-of-way, gathering areas, storage areas, and related equipment, including excavation, coating, backfilling, concrete work, and painting.
• Inspect and oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities, and train company and contractor personnel.
• Perform DOT, state agency, EPA, USFS, safety, environmental, documentation, and record-keeping activities.
• Participate in operating procedure development, work planning, safety initiatives, and operational excellence programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic computer and mathematics skills, including familiarity with MS Office and company software.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the company and its insurers.
• Ability to respond to after-hours callouts and emergencies, work overtime, travel as required, and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather, enter confined spaces, climb elevated platforms and ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must live within 30 miles of the reporting location; a drug screen and background check are required before employment.

Nice to have

• Experience reading blueprints and diagrams.
• Experience handling flammable gases and liquids and working with high- and low-pressure systems.
• Experience repairing compressor engines, pumps, and associated equipment.
• Knowledge of pipeline or compression operations.
