TL;DR
Outside Property Associate Claim Representative (Property Insurance): Reviewing, investigating, and documenting first-party property claims while developing independent claims-handling skills through a 9–12-month training program with an accent on damage assessment, coverage determination, and customer communication. Focus on evaluating building and contents losses, creating repair estimates, adapting to AI and digital tools, and performing physically demanding residential and commercial inspections during catastrophe deployments.

Location: Field position serving the Columbia County, Pennsylvania area; the selected candidate must reside in the assigned territory. Ideal locations include Bloomsburg, Hazleton, and Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The role is based remotely with mobile work at residential and commercial locations, work from the primary residence, or work from the nearest hirify.global office. Catastrophe deployments to other states may be required.

Salary: $52,600–$86,800 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

  • Complete structured virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training in insurance policies, claim processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Review, investigate, and document first-party property claims under close supervision.
  • Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
  • Interpret policy terms, evaluate coverage, assess building and contents damage, and prepare written or computer-assisted estimates.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, claimants, and internal stakeholders while maintaining accurate claim records.
  • Adapt to AI-related learning, new technologies, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts; participate in catastrophe response deployments and property inspections.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED plus at least one year of customer service experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Bachelor's degree and previous customer service or insurance experience are preferred qualifications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active adjuster or other required insurance license within the applicable state deadline; a UAS Remote Pilot Certification may also be required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with willingness to learn claims management and estimating software.
  • Strong communication, judgment, customer service, organizational, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills; ability to inspect structures, climb ladders, walk on roofs, and enter tight spaces when required.
