Maintenance Lead

Location: Katy, Texas, United States; onsite maintenance role with a flexible schedule and overtime availability.

Salary: $32.25–$46.75 per hour

What you will do

• Oversee and perform preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance for machinery, equipment, vehicles, power systems, and facility assets.
• Set up, adjust, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment to support production, quality, and safe operations.
• Lead root cause analysis teams and problem-solving projects to eliminate scrap, waste, and recurring equipment issues.
• Maintain maintenance logs and ensure compliance with maintenance systems, safety requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Coach and train Maintenance Technicians and junior staff while supporting maintenance programs.
• Coordinate system planners or contractors and partner with management on maintenance program improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing or distribution maintenance, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
• Practical knowledge of instrumentation, controls, switchgear, transformers, protective relays, motor control centers, PLCs, AC/DC power equipment, and monitoring systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with additional knowledge of welding, plumbing, carpentry, or ladder logic programming.
• Basic CMMS skills, including exporting data, analyzing information, and creating graphics to support asset problem-solving.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, provide necessary hand tools, and work overtime with a flexible schedule.

Nice to have

• 8 or more years of maintenance experience and a mechanical, electrical, or electronic trade background, journeyman qualification, or equivalent technical degree.
• Welding calibration experience and knowledge of VFDs and PLCs; PLC programming experience is a plus.
• Experience leading people and managing through influence.
• Ability to operate lathes, mills, and drill presses.
