Process Controls Technician (Refinery)

Location: Texas City, Texas, United States; onsite at the Galveston Bay Refinery

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize process control strategies for refinery units.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, and HMI issues.
• Maintain Honeywell Experion PKS, TDC 3000, Emerson DeltaV, Emerson Ovation, and ABB Symphony Plus platforms.
• Support Triconex SIS and Rockwell Automation PLCs, including logic modifications and testing.
• Develop control narratives, logic diagrams, system documentation, operator graphics, and HMIs.
• Manage controls-related projects, vendor coordination, commissioning, on-call support, and outage or turnaround activities.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Electrical or Instrument Technology, or a high school diploma/GED with five years of relevant experience.
• At least two years of experience with industrial control systems.
• Ability to remain on call and respond to off-hours emergencies.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with industrial DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, and network systems.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Honeywell Experion, TDC3000, Emerson DeltaV, Emerson Ovation, Triconex SIS, or Rockwell Automation PLCs.
• Previous refining process controls experience.
