What you will do

• Design, implement, deploy, optimize, and maintain scientific applications, computational tools, visualization tools, libraries, and data-processing pipelines on high-performance computing systems.
• Collaborate with investigators, research staff, stakeholders, subject matter experts, and solution architects to translate research needs into sustainable computational solutions.
• Port, parallelize, test, debug, and enhance application code and scripts for HPC systems, including AI/ML training and inference workloads.
• Develop documentation and training materials for applications, tools, and computational pipelines.
• Evaluate new computing, data-processing, and visualization technologies and help improve HPC utilization through metrics, analysis, and reporting.

Requirements

• Master's degree in computer science, data science, information science, mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience developing, optimizing, or maintaining scientific or computational applications; graduate projects or assistantships may count.
• Working knowledge of scripting and computing languages such as C, C++, Python, R, or MATLAB.
• Knowledge of parallel programming technologies such as OpenMP, MPI, or Pthreads.
• Ability to analyze, debug, tune, optimize, and port scientific application code and deliver complex projects.
• Experience with HPC, AI/ML systems, large scientific datasets, computational workflows, and life-science research is highly preferred.

Nice to have

• PhD in computer science, data science, information science, mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience with bioinformatics, genomics, imaging, structural biology, computational biology, or other data-intensive scientific domains.
• Experience collaborating across disciplines and with researchers to develop computational solutions.
