Manager, Production (Plastics)

What you will do

• Lead daily manufacturing operations, including environmental health and safety, staffing, quality, production costs, and process optimization.
• Guide frontline leaders and ensure consistent treatment, production output, and cost performance across the department.
• Develop and implement plans to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure products are produced and available for shipment on time.
• Ensure sufficient materials, tools, and labor are available to meet production requirements.
• Facilitate continuous improvement activities and monitor safety, shipments, engagement, and downtime outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education.
• 5–10 years of relevant work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a plastics or fabrication environment.
• Experience leading manufacturing operations, production quality, staffing, and safety activities.
• Willingness to travel approximately 5%–10%.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of Lean or continuous improvement experience.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a union setting, when applicable.
