Supplier Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Shenzhen, China; frequent local travel and occasional stays at supplier factories for several days to weeks

What you will do

• Develop, qualify, and monitor supplier quality management systems and manufacturing processes.
• Conduct supplier assessments and support supplier qualification activities.
• Investigate supplier quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and guide suppliers on quality requirements and procedures.
• Support new product introduction, process validation, engineering changes, and cross-functional quality reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality management, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in supplier quality, quality assurance, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Availability for frequent local travel and occasional stays at supplier factories.

Nice to have

• Experience with plastics, resin, textiles, chemical materials, metal parts, electronics, or finished consumer products.
• Experience in toys, consumer products, or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, SPC, and CAPA.
